Solutionforge, leading provider of FIX solutions, has received two contracts for the provision of its FIX messaging software, FIX.NET Server, which will be used to facilitate electronic trading via EMXCo. One is from Selestia, a leading provider of online financial services; the other is from FNZ, a recent arrival to the UK from New Zealand offering integrated Wrap platform solutions and services.
Selestia chose Solutionforge’s FIX.NET Server because it is a recognised leader of FIX solutions for users of EMXCo. It will enable more efficient and timely nominee trading. It will also reduce paper based trading and enable efficient use of resources. “This solution is compatible with our focus on providing a true e-business solution,” says Joshua Sutherland, IT operations manager at Selestia, “and it is a further advancement in our straight through processing capability.”
FNZ will use FIX.NET Server in its Standard Life Wrap product that has recently been launched. It will be used to pass orders from clients through the EMX Message System for execution and to capture information around those trades. FNZ had a tight time frame in which to implement a FIX link with EMXCo. Having looked at three products on the market and considered building a bespoke system, FNZ chose FIX.NET Server. “We were impressed by Solutionforge’s speed of turnaround and installation; and by how quickly we were able to connect to EMXCo – it was just a matter of days,” says Warren Gee, director of IT Development at FNZ.
