Informatica CIO Wins 2006 Mid-Market Leadership Award

Annual award from CIO Decisions magazine honors IT and business alignment in the midsized enterprise

Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), a leading provider of data integration software, today announced that Informatica CIO, Tony Young, won CIO Decisions magazine’s prestigious 2006 Midmarket Leadership Award. Accepting the award today at the annual CIO Decisions Conference in Carlsbad, Calif., Young was recognized for advancing the success of Informatica’s enterprise “through the creative, resourceful and cost-effective use of information technology.”

“The CIO Decisions Midmarket Leadership Awards honor outstanding IT executives who have furthered their companies’ business goals through the creative, resourceful or cost-effective use of information technology,” said Maryfran Johnson, vice president and editorial director, CIO Decisions Media Group. “Tony Young and Informatica illustrate how IT can drive substantial business value while simultaneously conserving resources. We congratulate him on his significant accomplishments at Informatica and his well-deserved win.”

In 2005, a period of significant global revenue and profit growth for Informatica, Young and his organization launched more than 70 major IT projects. These include improving Informatica’s customer experience by personalizing the company’s customer portal and extending its presence through localization, as well as establishing customer-demonstration environments worldwide. Young also helped spearhead the delivery of systems to enhance employee productivity, such as a unified portal enabling real-time revenue forecasting, access to a “single customer view,” dashboards for helping sales benchmark relative team performance, and a global customer-reference database.

“The IT challenges facing Informatica are those of any high-growth company today – do more with less, drive revenue, give employees the tools they need to excel, and keep improving the customer experience,” said Young. “While maintaining a lean IT organization, we have a robust infrastructure, rigorous IT governance and strong support from top management – all of which have been critical to our success in meeting these challenges. We are honored to be recognized by CIO Decisions for our ongoing efforts.”
