Third award in recent months shows continuing recognition by third parties of Triple Point’s leadership in commodities trading technology
WESTPORT, Connecticut, USA (May 24, 2006) – Triple Point Technology, Inc., the leading global supplier of cross-industry software platforms for the supply, trading, marketing, and movement of commodities, announced today that Commodities Now chose it as the 2005 Silver Energy Business Award winner for Excellence in Emerging Technology. The award, the third this year by independent parties, shows continuing industry recognition of Triple Point’s leadership in energy technology.
The award panel singled out Triple Point as “the only software company that can, and has, deployed a single integrated system for physical and financial trading, operations and risk management for all commodities across all global markets.” The award results were published in the March 2006 issue of Commodities Now, specifying that “Triple Point’s Commodity XL™ trading platform manages complete physical and financial trading, risk management, scheduling, settlement and logistics for commodities including power, oil, gas, coal, metals, agri-products and freight on a single, next-generation, front-to-back office platform.”
“We have been growing at a record rate,” said Michael Schwartz, chief marketing officer, Triple Point Technology. “In 2005, we increased revenues 37 percent year-over-year, on top of 15 percent growth in 2004. Not only did we solidify our position as industry leaders in our established markets, but we also strongly enhanced our standing in financial services, softs, and freights. We re-invest over 25% of revenues in research and development to continue providing the highest value to our clients.”
Other recent independent recognition received by Triple Point’s solutions includes the top “User Choice 2006—Trading and Portfolio Management” ranking, "Software House of the Year" and "Top Software Package" by Energy Risk Magazine, and the Connecticut Quality Improvement Award (CQIA) Innovation Prize. Triple Point also was named in 2005 to the Deloitte Fast 50 for a record-breaking eight years in a row.
