Electronic capture and circulation of customer documents: ITESOFT equips MGEN
MGEN accelerates handling of loan applications and insurance contracts by using ITESOFT.FreeMind
24 May 2006 -- MGEN, the leading complementary insurance provider in France, has deployed an EDM solution based around ITESOFT.FreeMind as the first phase of a global workflow project designed to handle its members' loan applications and insurance contracts.
MGEN is the mutual company for some of the country's largest civil service organisations, including National Education, Youth and Sports, and Research and Culture agencies. "With around one hundred agencies in France, the quality and speed for communicating customer information is fundamental", says Christelle Mordrelle, EDM Project Manager.
The solution chosen by MGEN is based on ITESOFT.FreeMind, and uses EDM to automatically capture, identify, and dispatch files. Branch offices are responsible for scanning operations, whereas automatic document processing is centralised. In the event a document cannot be recognised automatically, an image of the document is indexed manually at its original location using thin-client access to a video-coding portal.
Every year the new system will handle 65,000 dossiers of between 10 and 70 pages each. After piloting the system in branch offices in 3 departments, ITESOFT.FreeMind will be deployed throughout the entire MGEN network during 2006. Each office will then be able to benefit from accelerated handling of customer requests and on-line access to member files.
Three hierarchical levels in ITESOFT.FreeMind enable users to access all documents within MGEN's file management infrastructure.
"We appreciated the quality and efficiency of ITESOFT's project team, who knew how to adapt the final solution to our expectations and processes, and implemented a custom man-machine interface in record time," adds Christelle Mordrelle.
