TNS witnessed a dramatic increase in potential customers for the company's comprehensive global proprietary IP network, the Secure Trading Extranet, from the event held at Paris Expo - CNIT in La Defense.
John Owens, business development director at TNS, who attended the exhibition, said: "We're delighted at the response from visitors at the show and were very pleased to have double the number of enquiries this year, which came from a variety of industry sectors."
"Over the last year, we have achieved extensive growth, which has seen the extension of our fully managed network across 28 countries and firmly
established our position in the market. Our popularity as a provider
really showed at the exhibition with more delegates than ever before visiting the stand to see what we could offer their business."
Mr Owens said at this year's event, visitors to our stand wanted to discuss their concerns about new regulations such as MiFID, the increased take up of electronic trading, algorithmic trading and direct market access.
He said: "We illustrated to them how the Secure Trading Extranet was the most attractive and cost-effective option for connecting the multiple trading partners, applications and data providers internationally, with minimal latency and maximum uptime and security."
"It allows traders operating in financial markets to submit a variety of trade-related messages, including indications of interest, order routing and trade executions, and carry out other Financial Information eXchange (FIX) and non-FIX transactions."
"Financial institutions continue to look for additional, value-adding services such as WANs and virtual private networks, and our cutting edge technology means we're ideally placed to capitalise on these market opportunities."
As one of Europe's premier institutional equity trading events, TradeTech attracted over 1,000x senior industry players, including 275x buy-side executivesheads of dealing, traders, portfolio managers and IT specialists.
