Latin American clients would recommend Fiserv

8th consecutive year that clients of the LACC business unit give highest marks

For the eighth consecutive year, an overwhelming majority of core banking clients of the Latin America, Canada and Caribbean (LACC) unit of Fiserv CBS Worldwide indicated they would recommend Fiserv. In the most recent survey, when asked if they would recommend Fiserv, 100% of those responding to the question said yes. Receiving highly positive customer satisfaction scores, a record number of new sales and two awards, LACC is again on target for a spectacular 2006.

In addition, Fiserv CBS Worldwide reports that 15 clients have expanded their relationships with LACC and signed up for multi-year maintenance renewals or upgrades. The implementation of the largest credit union in Mexico was completed as well as other large and new projects in the Caribbean.

Simultaneously, LACC demonstrated their continued commitment to the Costa Rican community in September when the Embassy of the United States of America presented Fiserv CBS Worldwide with a special award for achievements in exports to Costa Rica.

The year ended victoriously with Fiserv ranking as the “number one financial services provider to the industry” in the annual FinTech 100 for the second consecutive year. Fiserv beat rivals Misys and I-flex for the lead spot in the report. Fiserv also reported record total revenues for
2005 of more than US$4.1 billion, and gained entry into the Fortune 500.

Recent notable accomplishments include the following:

CL Permanent Building Society, a de novo financial institution based in Trinidad, installed and went live with Fiserv’s banking solutions, ICBS, CBS Teller and CBS Customer Relationship Servicing in less than four months.

Caja Popular Mexicana, the largest credit union in Mexico and Latin America with 334 branches, more than 1 million members and $1 billion in assets, went live with Fiserv’s ICBS core banking solution. The implementation included the consolidation of 26 regional data centers and the replacement of two legacy systems.

Commonwealth Bank of the Bahamas, known as the first bank to issue Bahamian credit cards, implemented CBS Collections and initiated the implementation of Fiserv’s debit card subsystem a component of Fiserv’s ICBS core banking system.

CoopDesarrollo, the sixth largest credit union in Mexico, selected and initiated the implementation of ICBS to support its commitment to become one of the first credit unions in Mexico to be registered as regulatory compliant with the Mexican government.

Sogebank, the largest bank in Haiti with more than $417 million in assets, collaborated with Capital Bank and BNC, to go live with an upgrade and two new installs of Fiserv core software in July.

Ministry of Housing in Trinidad & Tobago selected Fiserv to consolidate several government housing agencies onto one software platform and enable the government’s ambitious goal to expand their lending services over the next 10 years.

ICICI Bank Limited, the second largest bank in India, is continuing with growth plans in its Canadian subsidiary by increasing the number of front-end software licenses.

Maduro & Curiel’s Bank, one of the most important banks in the Caribbean, upgraded to the latest version of the ICBS core and upgraded their core banking software license and CBS Teller licenses.

Multibanca Colpatria, part of one of the largest and more important holding companies in Colombia, is in the process of upgrading their credit card license and has initiated activities to upgrade their core banking system.

Banco del Progreso, located in the Dominican Republic, upgraded their ICBS core banking and front-end software licenses and signed a maintenance renewal.

Other existing customers upgrading core systems and/or extending their licenses for ICBS and Fiserv’s front-end customer sales, servicing and teller platforms included Giro Curacao, First Ontario Credit Union (Canada), and DeSurinaamsche Bank (Suriname). Additional renewals and upgrades included Banco Granahorrar (Colombia), National Housing Trust (Jamaica), Hakrin Bank (Suriname), Bank of Jamaica (Jamaica), and Banco Grupo El Ahorro (Honduras).
