Expanded Service Helps Financial Firms Reduce Manual Processes and Risk;
Comply with Patriot Act and Know-Your-Customer Regulations
WHITE PLAINS, NY – April 20, 2006 — Communicator Inc, a leading financial technology firm specializing in secure collaboration, compliance and post-trade processing solutions for Wall Street, announced today that it expanded its Counterparty and Compliance Management service to provide broker/dealers with Patriot Act Foreign Bank Certifications and W-8 and W-9 Tax Forms from counterparties, in addition to the thousands of documents the company already has on file for Qualified Institutional Buyer (QIB), NASD 2790, EOD and Regulation S.
Core to the service are the thousands of certifications available to sell-side firms through a web-based interface, a full-service operations team supporting each client individually, and a no-action letter on file with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC). Sell-side firms can request and view numerous compliance and counterparty documents, including Tax Forms, Foreign Bank Certifications, QIB letters, etc.
With the service, financial firms can meet increased compliance demands and regulations, including Know-Your-Customer and the Patriot Act. The service also helps firms ensure full coverage and compliance while eliminating duplicate work across desks and departments.
“Compliance officers and documentation specialists use our service to eliminate the manual processes of chasing and renewing documentation and reduce the risks of uncollected or missing documentation,” said Gary Reifman, Head of Compliance and Counterparty Management, Communicator Inc.
“Because our service eliminates the need for multiple requests for documentation, our clients can focus on ‘positive client touch points’, rather than multiple, manual document requests,” Reifman added. “For broker/dealers, that ‘chasing’ process is usually personnel intensive, inefficient, and costly. We help eliminate all of those factors.”
