CR2 opens Jordanian office

Dubai, 10th October 2005 - Under the patronage of Her Excellency Ms. Nadia Al-Saeed, Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Jordan, CR2, a global provider of channel banking, announced the opening of a new office in Jordan during a launch dinner event on 2nd October in the presence of high profile guests from the investment, banking and public sectors.

The Amman office has been opened to support CR2's growing Middle Eastern customer base. The 5 Professional Services staff have already been hired and will support CR2's customers in Jordan, Iran, Egypt, Libya and throughout the Middle East. This number will grow to approximately 12 people over the next 12 months including two administration staff.

CR2's software enables banks to provide a single and consolidated view of a customer's accounts across all channels. Implementing a channel management solution ties a banks' multiple back office and customer facing systems together and thus improves operational efficiency. It is the first Irish company to establish a presence in Jordan.

Ms Nadia Al-Saeed, Minister for Information and Communications Technology kicked off the launch event. "We are pleased that CR2 decided to extend its operations to Jordan servicing the kingdom and some neighbouring countries. Particularly, CR2 targets a vital sector of high importance to the economy - the banking sector. This is also in addition to the fact that CR2's work in IT development facilitates the transfer of knowledge to Jordan."

Her Excellency also expressed that she is delighted with the cooperation between Jordan and Ireland as it enhances the private sector partnerships between the two countries. This in return enables the Jordanian Market to benefit from the Irish experience and attract opportunities for potential partnerships, cooperation and complimenting services.

"Over 30% of CR2's customers are in the Middle East and in particular 7 out of the top 10 Jordanian banks are existing CR2 customers," said Martin Dolan, CEO, CR2. "The new team will manage the Jordanian customers as well as our Egyptian and Iranian based customers in particular.

CR2's new office is located in the Al-Haj Commercial complex.
