"Jet Infosystems" – a leading system integrator in Russia, and Forbis – a Lithuanian creator of bank software have signed an agreement on the transmission of the exclusive right to the "Jet Infosystem" Company for the usage and promotion of the Forbis trade mark and the FORPOST banking information system on the territory of Russian Federation.
The strategic goal of the co-operation of the "Jet Infosystems" and the Forbis Companies is provision of Russian banks with modern information technologies and corresponding services, which guarantee successful business of banks, raise their effectiveness, and give additional tools in the competitive struggle. At present, FORPOST is a unique banking system – it corresponds to the requirements of western standards and it is adapted to the Russian market. The system has been successfully implemented and now it is functioning in the majority of Lithuanian banks and in some Russian banks.
According to specialists’ evaluation, more than 20% of Russian banks are considering the possibility of automated banking system replacement in the course of the year. Banks’ transition to a new BIS in 50% of cases is dictated by insufficient functionality of the old system, its low productivity and incompatibility of the platform with modern requirements. Key factors for choosing a new BIS are functional completeness, user friendliness, cost, the level of support and general reliability of a BIS developer. The FORPOST information system corresponds to all the modern bank requirements listed above. The simplicity of usage and unlimited development possibilities make FORPOST one of the most progressive hi-tech systems on the modern market of bank products.
BIS FORPOST is a scaleable, flexible system, which is based on Oracle products. The system presents a universal banking solution, which support retail, wholesale, credit management, card products, securities, accountability, and bank management in a unified system.
In the "Jet Infosystems" Company BIS FORPOST will be promoted and supported by the department of applied financial systems. In the framework of the agreement, salespersons and technical specialists became acquainted with the FORPOST product, and got certain training in that sphere.
