National Bank of Dubai signs contract with Mosaic Software for replacement ATM switch

London, UK, and Dubai, UAE, 22 September 2004 - Mosaic Software has announced an agreement with the National Bank of Dubai to supply an ATM switch system to replace the bank's current system. Mosaic Software's Postilion EFT product will be used to drive the bank's existing ATMs, fulfil its EMV compliance commitments, and roll out advanced ATM services.

National Bank of Dubai (NBD) carried out an extensive evaluation of the EFT
software market before it decided on Postilion. "The ATM channel is a key
component of the bank's growing business. When it came to making a decision
for a replacement ATM switch, we chose Postilion because it is a flexible system that meets our requirements now and in the future," commented Sue Evans, Head of Information Systems and Technology at the bank.

"We have always focused on providing National Bank of Dubai customers with high-quality services at the ATM. We are looking to provide new innovative services to our customers across existing channels, using some of the exciting technologies available in the market. We believe that Postilion will enable us to deliver this to our customers," commented Abdulfattah Sharaf, divisional head, cards business at NBD.

Postilion delivers advanced ATM functionality in a cost-effective manner. Aside from standard ATM transactions like cash withdrawal and balance enquiry, this implementation of Postilion will enable the bank to offer new advanced features such as wire transfers, cheque cashing, money orders, mobile phone recharge, bill payment, and eCommerce shopping. These transactions can be provided across a range of channels that includes ATMs, mobile phones, and POS devices.

Implementation and support services will be provided to the bank from a new
Mosaic Software office established in Dubai in partnership with STS. The Dubai office will also serve other Mosaic Software clients in the region. STS's Divisional Manager for EFT Software, Stevi Lowmass, commented: "STS is delighted to be working with Mosaic Software, which is one of the leading international companies in the EFT arena. STS is committed to delivering full end-to-end payment services to our clients and we believe our partnership with Mosaic Software delivers great benefits to banks in the region. We are excited that National Bank of Dubai has chosen what we believe to be the finest EFT product available in the market today."

"We are very pleased to be working with National Bank of Dubai, one of the most prestigious financial institutions in the Middle East," says Jan Kruger, General Manager of Mosaic Software in Europe and the Middle East. "We look forward to helping the bank achieve a strong competitive edge through a new and much greater level of customer service at its ATMs."

The project is due to be completed by June 2005.
