London – Microsoft today announced its participation at this year’s SIBOS conference and exhibition at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, USA, 11-15 October 2004. At the show, Microsoft will focus on the issues of payments, STP and regulatory compliance.

Microsoft will be demonstrating its range of financial services-specific solutions including the BizTalk Accelerator for SWIFT, as well as its latest corporate to bank solution which highlights the business value of Web services. Key members of Microsoft’s partner ecosystem, including Avanade, Cyberplex, Eastern Networks, Fusion Group, Infosys, NetEconomy, SAP, Singularity, TAP Solutions, UNISYS and Volante will also be demonstrating their latest products on Microsoft’s stand.

Microsoft is an active partner of SWIFT and its technology is widely used by financial institutions for their day to day operations over the SWIFT network. At present, more than 50 per cent of the SWIFT interfaces run on Microsoft technology.

"Microsoft is delighted to be attending SIBOS again this year," says Bill Hartnett, General Manager of Financial Services Strategy, Microsoft. "Our close relationship with SWIFT continues to strengthen year on year and has enabled us to develop solutions with fast ROI as well as helping Microsoft technology to become one of the most widely used platforms for SWIFT interfaces accessing the SWIFT network. We are looking forward to addressing the key topics of payments, STP and regulatory compliance, as well as discussing other, wider issues facing the industry today."
