Trintech and SunGard Treasury Systems Join Forces to Supply Cash Management Data via SunGard's Secure AvantGard-ETX

Dallas, Texas/Dublin, Ireland – 17 May 2004 – Trintech (NASDAQ: TTPA; Prime Standard: TTP), a leading provider of transaction management and payment infrastructure solutions, today announced a strategic alliance with SunGard Treasury Systems, whereby Trintech’s DataFlow data network will provide SunGard clients with seamless access to electronic daily balance transaction and balance statements from North American banks.

The integration of SunGard’s AvantGard-ETX secure messaging network and Trintech’s DataFlow data network greatly simplifies access and expands the availability of bank data to SunGard Treasury Systems’ clients, enabling improved cash management of their available funds. The DataFlow network service will collect account data directly from SunGard Treasury Systems client banks, validate the integrity of transaction and balance data, standardize the format and integrate it as a single message into the AG-ETX network for import into a client’s AvantGard solution.

Trintech’s DataFlow network automates the daily retrieval, processing, aggregation, formatting and delivery of detailed transaction data from any bank. It removes the administrative burden of daily intra-day data collection from finance departments, and gives them visibility into more accounts for tighter cash controls and greater access to available funds. By joining the convenience and efficiency of the DataFlow network with SunGard’s AG-ETX network, transaction data provided by the DataFlow network is automatically integrated into SunGard Treasury Systems’ client treasury solutions.

"Access to reliable, timely bank data from every bank is a requirement for effective treasury management," said Ken Dummitt, President, SunGard Treasury Systems. "We are pleased to have Trintech as an AG-ETX partner to deliver this critical information to our clients."

"We are delighted to partner with SunGard Treasury Systems to offer their clients increased access to bank data from North American banks through our DataFlow network," said John Harte, General Manager of Trintech’s Funds Management Systems division. "Together we will help reduce costs and greatly simplify the process of bank data retrieval for corporations that rely on the SunGard AG-ETX network for cash management information." Trintech’s DataFlow network currently services over 100 clients and delivers daily bank data from over 12,000 accounts.
