Eze Castle Software clients implement real-time Portfolio Manager Console product to increase trading efficiency

Boston, MA (April 12, 2004) – Eze Castle Software, a leading provider of investment management technology, implements their Portfolio Manager Console (PMC) product at client firms to increase trading efficiency. PMC is a portfolio modeling and analysis toolkit providing functionality for portfolio managers to perform "what-if" analytics, model portfolios, create orders, and monitor real-time trading for multiple asset classes.

PMC uses a real-time, message-based architecture that enables it to integrate directly with Eze Castle Software’s order management system, Traders Console, to send and receive real-time updates on trade information. PMC integrates real-time market data from third-party pricing sources for portfolio valuation calculations.

"PMC combines all of the portfolio analytic functionality that existed in Traders Console with many new features such as ‘what-if’ analytics, sector and multiple asset class modeling, portfolio and portfolio group rebalancing, benchmark analytics, and a real-time blotter to monitor a specific manager’s trading activity," says Rob Keller, director of product management and product manager for PMC. "Our product management and development teams worked closely with clients to ensure all functionality was applicable and logical for their management styles."

Eze Castle Software client JMP Asset Management uses PMC to model and rebalance portfolios, monitor real-time sector and position weightings, and send orders to traders using the Traders Console OMS. "PMC’s functionality is easy to use and crucial to managing our positions," says Darren Bodenhamer, Head Trader of JMP Asset Management. "Its ability to rebalance multiple portfolios, create orders, check pre-trade compliance, and then send the orders to Traders Console has made our portfolio management and trading processes more efficient and linked."
