Société Générale selects Surecomp's IMEX Trade Finance Solution

London, March 8, 2004 - Surecomp, a leading provider of trade finance solutions for the wholesale banking industry, announced today that the Trade Services division of Paris-based Société Générale has licensed IMEX as its back-office trade finance solution. IMEX is Surecomp's SWIFT ReadyGold-accredited and bolero.net-enabled trade finance solution.

In 2002 Société Générale was France's #1 Trade Finance bank.

Société Générale is one of the largest financial services groups in the Euro-zone. The Group employs 88,000 people worldwide in three key businesses:
- Retail Banking & Financial Services:
Société Générale serves more than 15 million retail customers worldwide.
- Asset Management, Private Banking & Securities services:
Société Générale is one of the largest banks in the Euro-zone in terms of assets under custody ($1,165 trillion) and under management (EUR 284 billion as of December 2003).
- Corporate & Investment Banking:
SG CIB ranks among the leading banks worldwide in Euro capital markets, derivatives and structured finance.

The licensing of IMEX by the bank's Trade Services division further strengthens Société Générale's role as an international player in the trade finance arena.

The bank will be implementing IMEX on a mainframe platform, with initial use in France and Western Europe.

Commenting on the licensing of IMEX by the bank, Project Director Daniel le Strat, remarked, "Our goal is to equip our back-office units with a STP (Straight Through Processing) solution allowing them to manage the complete life cycle of their trade finance transactions. We selected Surecomp's IMEX software because it fulfils the criteria of our evaluation process."

"Surecomp is committed to our partnership with Société Générale, and this agreement further strengthens our global front-to-back relationship with the group" said Paul M. Thomas, Surecomp's Director of Global Sales. "Société Générale was looking for a Trade Finance solution provider who understands their needs. The IMEX Trade Finance System will provide the bank with a competitive edge, allowing growth and improved customer service, while helping to strengthen the Société Générale bottom line."
