German operation of Canada Life goes live with FINEOS Life Front
Dublin/London/Portland (ME), 16th September 2003 - FINEOS Corporation, a
leading innovator of banking and insurance software, has announced that
Canada Life has gone live with its life and pensions distribution and
servicing system, FINEOS Life Front Office, in Germany.
Canada Life Assurance (Ireland) Limited recently expanded its business in
Germany by acquiring the business operations of Prudential plc in Germany.
This acquisition positions Canada Life as one of the top five companies in
the German broker unit-linked market and the market leader in Serious
Illness in Germany.
Canada Life is using FINEOS Life Front Office to service its new German
business from Dublin, Cologne and Neu-Isenburg while using its almost
7,000-strong German-based intermediary network for distribution. Implemented
over three months, the FINEOS system enables Canada Life to provide service
staff with a single view of customer information across all locations and
distribution channels. Integrated workflow automation within the solution
intelligently creates, routes and monitors tasks, ensuring that service
levels are always maintained to the highest possible standards.
Commenting on the announcement, Sean Mullarkey, IT Manager, Canada Life,
said: "The FINEOS solution improves the servicing of policies for our staff
- and more importantly for our customers and brokers. It's been very
beneficial for customer service and is particularly effective in helping
staff to quickly scan, index and retrieve large volumes of documentation.
This alone has a huge impact on the service levels that we can provide."
Michael Kelly, FINEOS CEO added: "We're delighted that this implementation
has gone so smoothly. Canada Life has been our client for a long time now
and it's great to see them expand into yet another market, especially one as
buoyant as Germany. It marks a really important customer endorsement for
FINEOS in Europe's largest insurance market."
Canada Life Group is one of FINEOS's earliest customers and has been using
the FINEOS product in its UK operation since 1997 and in Ireland since 1999.
