The combined operations of Banco Santander Mexico place it third in the rankings of financial institutions, with 924 branches, $23 billion in assets and more than 2 million customers, is part of the Banco Santander Central Hispano SA Group of Madrid, Spain's leading financial institution and the second-ranked in the Eurozone.

Commenting on the Perfect Match experience, Jorge Cruz Ortega, Treasury Director of Banco Santander-Serfin Mexico stated that "the need to reduce the risks inherent to the foreign exchange operation and to automate the confirmation and tracing of these kinds of transactions, forced us to look into the market for a product that would tailor to our investment and other systems connectivity needs (S.W.I.F.T. and Back Office).
