A proven track record of accelerating business growth further strengthens Kalahari’s market-leading position

London. 4th June, 2003 – Kalahari, a global provider of real-time analytic solutions and strategic consulting services to financial and energy trading institutions, in over 15 countries, announces the appointment of David Harrelson as Global Managing Director. Peter Trenier, former managing director and co-founder of Kalahari, will take up the post of Executive Chairman, with full Board responsibilities.

Based in London, Harrelson will oversee the Company’s global business strategy and will lead all aspects of business development, service offerings, implementation methodologies and practice profitability as the company continues to deliver innovative real-time analytic business solutions. Harrelson joins Kalahari from the $800m divine, Inc., a global professional services, software services and managed services company, focused on extended enterprise solutions, where he held the position of Vice President, EMEA. He reports directly to the Kalahari Board.

"We are extremely pleased to welcome David to Kalahari," said Peter Trenier. "Since David took up the M.D.’s post in November, 2002, we have achieved an impressive conclusion to our 2002 financial year, while achieving record corporate operating results."

"A part of our decision to appoint David was based upon his past performance in executive positions as well as his demonstrated ability to focus organisations on executing their corporate and product strategies, to drive increased revenue and provide higher returns for shareholders. With his proven track record of accelerating business growth and his vision and close grasp of the business, we believe David is an excellent addition to our management team." Trenier continued.

Harrelson has many years of experience leading high-growth companies in demanding markets and managing their corporate operations toward long-term success. The Kalahari Board members selected Harrelson for his vision, energy, and his proven ability to build teams and to achieve measurable results. In his new role, Harrelson will create, shape and direct Kalahari's strategy and vision as it pursues new levels of enhanced performance to organisations in the Financial Services sector, as well as consider additional areas for revenue generation.

Harrelson comes to Kalahari with more than 15 years of sales and management experience covering a unique mix of software sales, professional services expertise, project management and global practice leadership. Additionally, under his leadership, his teams have been successful at achieving double-digit growth and high gross profit margins.

"Within the financial services sector more than $2T is analysed, measured, priced and traded globally, every day, using Kalahari’s solutions." said Harrelson. "I believe that Kalahari’s market competence, industry domain knowledge and technology expertise, affords the company a real opportunity to leverage its already strong position in financial services, and take its solutions to other vertical market sectors."

Harrelson’s other successes include roles at EXE Technologies, American Software and Logility Software as Regional Manager respectively and Computer Decisions International as National Director VAR Channel sales.
