Bank Wegelin chooses intelliMATCH from SunGard ePI

Bank Wegelin & Co. Privatbankiers Chooses intelliMATCH from SunGard eProcess Intelligence for Automated Matching and Reconciliation.

London, 10 October, 2002 - SunGard eProcess Intelligence, an operating unit of SunGard (NYSE: SDS), today announced that Swiss bank, Bank Wegelin & Co. Privatbankiers, has selected intelliMATCH for automatic processing, matching and reconciliation of cash nostro accounts, trades and holdings, and FX and money market confirmations.

The bank chose intelliMATCH because of its flexibility in generic matching and its ability to accept not only SWIFT-based messages, but also to reconcile files from various internal and external sources. Using intelliMATCH, Wegelin & Co. will take data feeds from APSYS III, SunGard Investment Management Systems' private banking solution, to perform external account, internal account and system-to-system reconciliation for cash, securities, and confirmations, on a single platform.

Other key features that led Wegelin & Co. to select intelliMATCH were the ability of the solution to grow with the bank's increasing transaction volumes and changing business environment and its flexibility in defining matching rules that will enable the bank to achieve high auto-matching rates.

Wegelin & Co. will also implement intelliMATCH's Event Triggered E-mail and Pager Notification module to generate alerts for system-defined events that require immediate attention and action, an additional aid in monitoring, controlling and helping to reduce risk.

"Among intelliMATCH's impressive functionality and features, we chose the solution because of the dedication of the SunGard eProcess Intelligence team to quality, the business case and customer service, that we experienced throughout the evaluation phase. Their presence in Switzerland helped to facilitate our contacts with other organizations using intelliMATCH. We know we will continue to receive a high level of support from an organization so close to home," commented Remo Dickenmann, project leader, from Wegelin & Co.

Matt Mandalinci, president of SunGard eProcess Intelligence, said, "Because intelliMATCH is able to easily work with Wegelin & Co.'s data sources, the solution fits nicely within their existing IT infrastructure. The bank's selection of intelliMATCH underlines the leading position maintained by the solution. We're excited by the opportunity to work with leading financial services institutions such as Wegelin & Co."
