Sybase signs three-year agreement with Reuters

London, UK - April 22, 2002 - Sybase, Inc. (NYSE:SY), a leading e-Business nfrastructure provider, today announced a three year global agreement with Reuters, the global news, information and technology group. This new deal extends the existing 15 year relationship between the two companies.

Under the terms of the agreement, Sybase will deliver products, services and support across its range of database, integration, business continuity and mobile solutions to Reuters global development and operational groups.

The deal replaces a number of individual contracts that had existed between Reuters and Sybase over the years, involving projects to integrate Sybase solutions into a number of Reuters software products and operational infrastructure.

Mike Sayers, Chief Technical Officer, Reuters said: "This continuing partnership with Sybase builds upon a relationship that started as far back as 1987. We are now better placed for delivery of solutions, products and services to our customers."
