Office Products Giant Adopts IT Programme Management Software

Corporate Express signs deal with UK supplier to streamline development

Leeds, England – 5th March 2002– Corporate Express, Inc., a Buhrmann company (NYSE: BUH), the world's largest business-to-business supplier of essential
office and computer products and services, announced today that it will adopt programme management techniques from The Program Management Group to reduce development costs for its major IT projects. The company, with revenues of $5 billion in North America in 2001, has grown through acquisition and organic growth, and has around 100 active major IT projects at any time.

Corporate Express has signed the deal with PMG, UK pioneers in multi project
management software, to help streamline IT development. The business-to-business office products supplier estimates it can make its 400-strong development team 10 per cent more efficient with PMG's Hydra3 programme management software, providing a return on investment within 10 months.

The deal comes at the end of a two-month pilot of PMG's Hydra3, involving
between 10-15 staff. The pilot allowed Corporate Express managers to prioritise personnel resources, monitor development progress and accurately forecast schedules. Rollout to all development staff is expected in March.

of acquired companies and updating its core ISIS order entry and purchasing
