Insurity Signs Licensing Agreement with Legion Companies Insurer Will Replace Workers' Comp Systems in Wisconsin and New Jersey
HARTFORD, Conn. - February 20, 2002 - Insurity(SM), a ChoicePoint(r) (NYSE: CPS) company, has signed a licensing agreement with Mutual Group Information Services, the technology division of Mutual Risk Management Ltd. (NYSE: MM). As part of the agreement, ChoicePoint and Mutual Group will upgrade the rating and policy issuance systems for the Legion Companies. Insurity plans to replace Legion's existing in-house systems located in processing centers in Freehold, New Jersey, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with its Commercial Intellisys(r) application for workers' compensation. Installation already has begun, with the second phase scheduled for completion during the second quarter of 2002.
"Insurity's workers' compensation system will enable us to consolidate processing into one system," says Dave Rampson, chief information officer for Mutual Group. "We presently use two different systems for processing. The scalability of the Insurity system, combined with the business expertise of Insurity's implementation team, will net time-saving and profit-yielding efficiencies in both locations."
Legion Insurance also plans to distribute Insurity's system to other company offices and Managing General Agents (MGAs) that write workers' compensation business. Insurity's Intelliserve product-support services also will be included in the package. This proprietary process defines business and technical requirements, including a mandate to maintain Legion's rating and policy-issue environments with bureau updates and custom charges.
