London, 7th November 2001: Atriax and FXpress Corporation are delighted to announce the full integration of the Atriax Dealing engine and the FXpress™ foreign exchange risk management system. From within the latest version of their existing software, FXpress users can now trade on live two-way pricing from Atriax member banks and utilise a full range of deal execution functionality. This seamless systems integration facilitates full pre- and post-deal Straight Through Processing, from deal generation to execution and settlement.
The General Electric Company is the first Atriax and FXpress client to utilise the fully integrated system. James R. Bunt, Vice President and Treasurer commented:
"GE can now access Atriax’s multi-bank pricing and execute deals from within our FXpress treasury environment. This delivers full Straight Though Processing and is the key element in GE’s adoption of Atriax as our global solution for foreign exchange execution."
The integration of the Atriax and FXpress systems was achieved using the Atriax Deal Lifecycle API. This facilitates full pre- and post-deal integration of treasury and portfolio management systems to the Atriax Dealing engine. The Deal Lifecycle API complements the existing Atriax Ticket Output API for post-deal automated connectivity and makes Atriax the only FX portal to offer facilities to enable full pre- and post-deal systems integration.
Dan Morehead, CEO of Atriax said:
"The Atriax Deal Lifecycle API is unique. No other FX portal offers this level of integration with treasury and portfolio management systems. We are delighted to have partnered with FXpress to deliver the first complete front-to-back STP solution to the market."
Bob Richardson, Managing Director of FXpress Corporation said:
"The achievement of full systems integration between the FXpress foreign exchange risk management system and the Atriax Dealing engine is a very significant enhancement to the value proposition for clients of FXpress and Atriax. This functionality is available today as a simple upgrade to existing client installations."
