Sage has appointed a channel director to provide strategic leadership to its
channel team and to manage and develop the Sage reseller channel.
Phil Gordon has a wealth of experience in management and development having
held a number of senior positions. His most recent was with Calmon
International where he was group managing director. Prior to this Phil held
the position of group commercial manager with Pace Micro Technology plc.
Commenting on the appointment, Graham Wylie, managing director for Sage in
the UK, said: "I am delighted to appoint someone of Phil's calibre to Sage.
The reseller channel has been particularly successful in the past in
promoting and selling Sage solutions. However as the market matures we must
ensure that our resellers are equipped with the knowledge, training and
skills they need to ensure that their businesses, as well as Sage, continue
to grow in the future. I am confident Phil has the expertise to conquer
this challenge and look forward to working with him to enhance and improve
our sales channels."
As group managing director for Calmon International, Phil was responsible
for sales and marketing in the UK, USA, Hong King, India, Mainland Europe
and the Dominican Republic. He has gained extensive experience in setting up
and developing sales channels here in the UK and overseas whilst at Pace.
