Sage today announced that it is to launch SageFinance to help SMEs break the
financial barriers to acquiring IT hardware and software. The new offering
will help the cashflow of SMEs who want to invest in IT but cannot afford a
large one-off payment. Sage Finance will be available through Sage resellers
from end November and will be officially launched at Sage Expo on November

Sage has teamed up with Syscap, the UK's leading independent IT finance,
leasing and rental service provider to offer SageFinance, enabling Sage
resellers to take advantage of their unique online end-to-end finance and
leasing service. The system, accessed via Sage's reseller community website
allows registered users to log their customers' leasing proposals and track their progress from online credit decisions through to automated document

SageFinance can be used to fund Sage business software solutions, as well as
any necessary hardware and related support services, allowing the customer
to spread the cost over an agreed period rather than a large one-off payment. This means that customers can pay for their IT system as they use
it and take advantage of the benefits immediately.

This method of acquisition also offers a host of benefits to resellers, particularly the ability to sell upgrades to the customer during the period
of the finance agreement. It also helps resellers to overcome objections on
cost and research shows that customers are less likely to ask for discounts
when using a finance scheme.

Resellers will also benefit from the ability to sell a broader range of
business software solutions and more sophisticated hardware to customers
who, by taking advantage of the scheme, will not be as constrained by budget
as they might be with a cash purchase.
