Sage payroll products and services have been awarded the Inland Revenue's
new Payroll Standard. Sage customers can rest assured that the software they
are using is updated periodically to reflect changes made to Inland Revenue
guidance and legislation. To achieve the standard, Sage Instant Payroll,
Sage Payroll and Sage Payroll Professional were submitted for approval and
underwent rigorous testing by Inland Revenue officials. This included a
site visit to Sage and the running of over 450 test cases to ensure the
software adequately met the standard.

Guy Letts, Sage's R&D director said, "I am thrilled that we have achieved
this accreditation. The Payroll Standard logo signifies to any employer
using our payroll software that it is up to date and covers all areas which
are considered essential for the accurate calculation of tax, National
Insurance and tax credits. It gives confidence and peace of mind to
employers that their payroll is being calculated correctly."

Sage were also one of the first software houses to be accredited by the
Inland Revenue to enable its customers to submit payroll statutory returns
via the Internet.
