Atriax and RCP launch AtriaxAdapt, enabling immediate connectivity to

London, 12 October 2001: Atriax and RCP Consultants today launch AtriaxAdapt, facilitating immediate connectivity between the Atriax dealing engine and leading treasury and portfolio management systems. This product is the result of a strategic alliance between Atriax and RCP and makes Atriax the first foreign exchange portal to deliver a generic connectivity solution to the market.

RCP specialises in software products for the global financial markets including the design and development of electronic adapters, enabling connectivity to proprietary systems for the purpose of achieving fully automated straight through processing. These adapters are supplied in the form of a CD-ROM that typically takes about an hour to install.

Atriax and RCP will jointly market AtriaxAdapt to connect the Atriax ticket
output API to a range of treasury management systems. This exclusive arrangement benefits from RCP’s large existing library of adapters and its
ability to create additional adapters rapidly as required. A list of
leading treasury management systems for which AtriaxAdapt is currently
available is appended.

Commenting on the alliance, Dan Morehead, CEO of Atriax said:

"Straight Through Processing is central to the value proposition for Atriax
members. Our strategy is to offer the widest range of choices for the
connectivity required to achieve this. Atriax and RCP have delivered the
first generic connectivity solution in this space. AtriaxAdapt is a proven
product that we can ship today."

Atriax has defined four different levels of connectivity to its dealing engine. These are manual deal input and output, batch deal import and export via spreadsheet, automated connectivity to the treasury or portfolio management system using the Atriax Integrated Download API and full systems integration using the Atriax Integrated RFQ and Download API. Automated connectivity may be achieved, either by building to the Atriax API or using the AtriaxAdapt connector. Full systems integration may utilise either Atriax dealing functionality or the dealing functionality integral to the member’s treasury or portfolio management system.

John Richards, Managing Director of RCP said:

"RCP is delighted to be able to provide the tools that will enable many Atriax members to connect their treasury management systems quickly and easily to the Atriax dealing engine without the need for software development."
