London. 14th September 2001. Midas-Kapiti International (MKI) a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Misys Group, has implemented the Disaster Recovery plan for its New York office with effect from 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday 12th September. All MKI clients have been contacted individually and provided with information on the provision of support services in this immediate period following the recent tragic events in the U.S.A.
John Fry, MKI’s Chief Executive Officer, said, "The entire MKI organisation has been following the tragic events in the U.S. with disbelief and great sorrow. Although all our MKI employees based in New York are safe and well, we are all deeply shocked and saddened by the news."
"As is the case with all commercial offices in Manhattan south of 14th Street, our branch office at 45 Broadway is closed, with access permitted to the emergency services only. We are unable to estimate how long the office will remain closed, although it is hoped that it may re-open next week. In the meantime, the company is temporarily relocating operations to its office in White Plains, NY. We have also activated our out-of-state disaster recovery site, which is available to provide service and support to users of MKI’s Midas, Trade Innovation and Meridian solutions throughout the United States. Support for Equation system users is available through MKI’s Seattle office as usual."
