UNITE FIXED-INCOME MARKET INTELLIGENCE TOOL WITH A
MUNICIPAL DISCLOSURE DOCUMENT PORTAL
July 19, 2001 - Murray Hill, NJ - Capital Access International LLC, a leading provider of market intelligence to the institutional broker/dealer community and DPC DATA™, a provider of data services for the municipal bond market, have joined forces on an Internet initiative that provides one-click subscriber access to essential resources from both companies.
As a result of the alliance, users of Capital Access International’s eMAXXsm, a browser-based market intelligence program, can now access municipal bond Official Statements, CAFRs, and material event notices through DPC DATA’s MuniDOCS ONLINE, a municipal disclosure document portal. In the near future, DPC DATA clients will also be able to access eMAXX through a link on dpcdata.com, the firm’s Internet-based disclosure document outlet.
According to Peter J. Schmitt, President of DPC DATA, and David D. Farrington, Chairman of Capital Access, the relationship is good news.
"Thanks to this collaboration, eMAXX users now have one-click access to detailed information on any of the 300,000 plus issues available through DPC DATA’s MuniDOCS ONLINE," said Schmitt.
"Phase two will provide www.dpcdata.com customers with one-click access to relevant bondholdings information available through the Capital Access eMAXX service," he added.
According to Farrington, the joint venture is consistent with industry trends.
"In our opinion, the epicenter of securities e-commerce is shifting from data aggregation to application aggregation," he said.
"By merging DPC DATA’s comprehensive online document collection with the already extensive eMAXX resources, we are providing traders, investment bankers, credit analysts, portfolio managers, bond issuers, and bond counsel with an extraordinary wealth of information."
