Alterna Appoints Vice President, Latin America

Alterna Technologies Group Inc., the premier global provider of Internet-based liquidity, cash and treasury management solutions, has appointed Cathy McGrail to the newly created position of Vice President, Latin America.

Cathy, who has 26 years of international banking experience, is responsible for overseeing all of Alterna’s business in Latin America, where the company is experiencing rapid growth. She will be based in Miami, Fla.

Mark Taylor, Chief Operating Officer, said: “Cathy is a very valuable addition to our management team. She has great knowledge of the Latin America region, extensive experience with cash management and payments and strong leadership skills. As well as managing our regional office, we will draw on her experience to help with other strategic corporate development initiatives.”

Cathy joins Alterna from ABN AMRO, where as Senior Vice President she headed marketing and sales for the bank’s Latin America region. Recently, she was heading up a business unit focusing on business-to-business e-commerce initiatives. Prior to ABN AMRO, Cathy served for 23 years with a Bank of America where she held management positions in Europe and Latin America. She is fluent in Spanish, French, and English.
