Overview

ActiveStream for lifecycle management (especially for the middle/back office as they labour to keep up with the changing instrument types being produced by the quant’s in the front office as well as a way to control operational risk and stamp out fraudulent trading practices) - a software component that allows quantitative analysts, traders, middle and back office personnel to create and then manage the lifecycle of any financial product through its entirety.  Data model is flexible and easy to extend so the middle and back office can keep up with the front office innovation.  Allows for a proper audit trail (bi-temporal engine makes it easy to properly audit all trades and trade modifications, easier to do regulatory reporting as the causality of trade modifications is maintained, eliminates the need for database backups all the time, etc.) and stops the practice of cancelling and then re-booking trades that need to be modified – instead all modifications are made on the trade itself and then the subsequent events get played over on that modified trade.  Even allows the front and middle office to see what-if scenarios like what the trade would have looked like had it been exercised when the option arose, etc.

ActiveStream allows flexible and unrestricted creation of structured products. Supports multi-underlying product definition with extensible financial building blocks and business rules. Manages the complete life-cycle of structured trades from pricing to back-office to minimize operational risk.
