Overview

Arcontech CityVision Multiple Destination Publishing System (MDPS)

MDPS makes simultaneous publishing to many destinations simple.

* Real-time routing from many sources to many destinations, including vendors
* 24*7 operation, 99.99% reliability with zero down-time re-configuration
* Increase accuracy, control and timeliness of contributions
* Fast, efficient and reliable, dual site operation and automatic fail-over
* Dynamic chaining, page building, record mapping and symbology translation
* Independent handling of all protocols to all destinations
* Full load-balancing over multiple output channels
* Comprehensive authentication and entitlements for contribution and distribution
* based GUIs for manual contribution, control and operational visibility

CityVision MDPS enables you to send data to multiple destinations, including data vendors such as Reuters, Bloomberg, Telekurs, Telerate or any other destination.

Information is sent simultaneously but independently for each destination, from a single input if required. This can save on data entry time, administration and eliminate the possibility of transcription discrepancies often caused by multiple data entry into different systems.

MDPS can receive data for output from many sources so it can be integrated easily with or replace your existing systems. Maximise automation and minimise manual intervention, allowing redeployment of staff whilst improving the quality of your distributed data.

All destinations are handled independently in the required protocol, e.g. Marketlink for Reuters, R4/ESIP for Telerate, MPF for Bloomberg, so a problem or backlog on one channel will not degrade the performance of others.

MDPS handles pages and record based (logical) data. Crucially, it understands different formats and how to translate and rename between formats. It can build complex page sequences from chains, updating them automatically and rebuilding when the underlying data changes - for example when options oll-over.

MDPS supports multiple servers with many outputs to each destination, supporting increased capacity, load balancing, added resilience, alternative routing and data prioritisation. Hot-standby and load balancing between remotely located servers, coupled with on-line configuration means that, unlike other systems you can truly expect non-stop operation.

Naturally, MDPS interoperates seamlessly with other CityVision components including StarNet. Thus you can integrate WANs, LANs and the Internet to form a global contributions and distribution infrastructure, with full control over user access and the data that users can input to and receive from the system.
