Technical Specifications
The Reuters Wireless Delivery System sources data content directly from the Reuters Market Data System (RMDS) platform. The RWDS server interfaces with RMDS for real-time data, charts and news content, using DACS for single exchange fee liability.
To access RWDS, you will need to install a lightweight Java application on your BlackBerry device. The software then connects to the RWDS server via the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES). It is the BES that encrypts all data making sure that your content is secure using triple DES encryption.
RWDS has an easy-to-use display interface that can be customised using a web based portal. Users can create new displays, personalise existing ones and share screens with other users. The interface display allows up to 4 components to be built for each page.
