Market Data Feed (MDF)

The SIX Telekurs real-time Market Data Feed (MDF) supplies current prices and news from around 800 stock exchanges and contributors. MDF is available through various API interfaces.

MDF delivery is optimised for automatic processing via simple standard interfaces that integrate quickly and efficiently into downstream applications and systems. SIX Telekurs offers three distinct market data feed services, each of which allows customers to mix and match real-time and delayed data:

• MDFselect – Caching and functionality: MDFselect provides real-time and delayed pricing data, intraday and historical time series, business news, lists and tables as well as search functionality. MDFselect offers a wide variety of possibilities to retrieve the required information: as streaming or snapshot data, based on requests by exchange or at listing level. MDFselect is particularly suitable for feeding applications which demand a broad information set and a mid- to high-range data throughput. • MDFxpress – Direct processing: MDFxpress is based on the same platform as MDFselect, and offers the same data. The key differentiator is that MDFxpress is optimised to directly feed systems and databases with high data volumes from several hundred trading places. • MDFstream – Optimised for high throughput: MDFstream is designed for those customers who require a broadcast data feed to service existing cache-based real-time services, such as terminal servers, data distribution platforms, algorithmic trading applications and more.
