Scott Logic are a software consultancy firm, predominantly working in the financial sector, but historically have had clients from numerous sectors. Our USP is simple, we only hire the very best software consultants, and these consultants work at our development sites in Newcastle upon Tyne and Edinburgh for clients based across the UK and also the US. 70% of our current team have first class degrees, and 33% have PhDs, all from top UK universities such as Cambridge, Durham, Edinburgh, Newcastle, York, and this intellectual ‘muscle’ allows us to be the best in what we do, and that is, delivering software to solve the most difficult business problems.
Banking experience includes: Pricing tools, Risk management systems, Back office/settlement systems, Electronic trading platforms, Portfolio management , Research systems and Re-architecture of internal infrastructure.
Our technical expertise includes, but is not limited to: front, middle and back office systems using Java, Java EE, C#/.NET, C++, RDBMS (Sybase, Oracle, UDB), middleware (JMS, TIBCO, CORBA) and XML.
