Within the trading room, extensive support is provided for deal capture, pricing, position and portfolio management and profitability reporting. Links to external systems such as Reuters are provided as standard with publishers and readers provided to allow easy integration with other systems in use.
The straight through processing functionality provided by the application begins with the inputting of the deal. >From deal capture the process is completely automated in real time and no user intervention is required. All transactions immediately update all trader and group finance positions plus automatically update the General Ledger. Transactions then flow through the Back Office, automatically generating the relevant SWIFT format messages and sends those messages/confirmations to SWIFT Alliance.
Back office settlement and authorisation processing is catered for with automatic links to networks such as SWIFT for confirmations, payments and other relevant messages.
