Overview

StarNet includes components to support the trading room and on-line web-integrated trading.

Online Trading (17k)

Market prices and news from vendors, contributors (or any StarNet data) feed the Trading system and Dealer workstations where they are viewed with TraderStation.

Prices will normally be adjusted according to house rules, market outlook, current position and other factors to create trading or ‘touch’ prices. Touch prices are sent via StarNet to the web servers, for distribution on request to web-based on-line Traders.

Web pages can use JClients or Active Clients, depending on the degree of flexibility and sophistication you wish to give your customers. In either case, once logged-on, they simply have to click a price, and confirm the buy/sell and quantity details to place an order.

The trading interface routes the order to the trading system and returns the result. This simple but effective model works with any ‘open’ trading system.
