Overview
StarNet and RTP support the CityVision suite of end-user display applications and objects. These are Microsoft Windows (or Java) based and provide a functionally rich, easy to use means to view any data within the StarNet system.
Applications are proven on LANs, WANs, Intranets and the Internet, integrating with CityVision’s in-built fault tolerance and recovery features. Examples are:
| Traderstation |
A market data display application which can be configured flexibly to provide comprehensive displays of pages, quotes, quote-lists, tickers, chains, news, etc. Ideal for off-floor positions and as an Internet desktop for power users. TraderStation II uses Active Clients for even more flexibility |
| Excelerator |
Pumps real-time data directly into Excel spreadsheets – a powerful addition to the tool-kit for the market data analyst. |
| Active Clients |
Functionally rich ActiveX controls for real-time data display and contribution. They provide the ultimate in RAD (Rapid Application Development). Just drop an Active Page into your VB program or Web page and you’ll have real-time display - without one line of code from you. |
| JClients |
The lightweight equivalent of Active Clients, written in Java for the ultimate in platform independence and ease of deployment. Stunning displays, ideal for web-based live pricing, order routing and trading system integration. |
