The RTP API can be used to automate data submission from a variety of trading or other systems such as SQL Server, Excel and any COM or ActiveX compliant custom application.  

In a typical scenario, the CityVision Contribution Server (CCS) in London forms a central corporate real-time database. Selected data from Tokyo, along with news and reports from other regions are received via StarNet and combined with London local trade reports and price data.

The Tokyo dealing room operates as a separate entity, with a self-contained StarNet sub-net for efficient local processing.

Naturally, CCS links seamlessly with other CityVision components, for global distribution, conversion and vendor contribution if required.
