Simultaneous publishing to multiple destinations made simple! The CityVision MVCS (multiple vendor contribution system) lets you contribute selected data within a StarNet system to multiple destinations, including data vendors such as Reuters, Bloomberg and Telerate and ‘upstream’ CityVision servers in distributed network. It can also intercept vendor contributions in standard formats from 3rd party systems. For example, you can capture the Reuter Marketlink output from a Triarch MLCS and ‘fan-out’ automatically to Telerate, Bloomberg and other vendors. MVCS can take data directly from an RMDS backbone, database, spreadsheets and many other sources. Each source and destination is handled intelligently, independently and according to the required format and protocol, so MVCS is transparent to connected systems. MVCS handles pages, records (logical data), ‘chains’ and many vendor protocols.
In the scenario above RTP hubs in London and New York contribute to multiple vendors. London data are sourced from the Triarch Marketlink output, CityVision applications and regional contributions. New York receives a composite feed from London, which it combines (using RTP mapping) with local contributions to construct its vendor outputs. MVCS supports hot-standby, multiple lines to each destination, load balancing, dynamic bandwidth control, alternative routing, data prioritisation and grouping. Of course, MVCS inter-operates fully with CityVision mapping components, making ‘one-shot’ publishing a reality. This can save on data entry time, administration and eliminate the possibility of transcription discrepancies across outputs. For more information visit www.arcontech.com |
