Zapper has unveiled its new scan-to-pay app, which uses the camera on a smartphone to make paying bills quicker and easier.
The new service from Zapper.com allows businesses to generate unique QR codes for billing, which can be scanned using an app. Once picked up the user confirms the amount to be paid and the card is then charged, with both parties receiving an instant confirmation of the payment.
The QR Codes can be placed on paper, PDF or email invoices as they can be captured on screen or on printed documents making it convenient for both customers and businesses.
Gartner recorded a 44 per cent global increase in mobile payments since 2012 and Zapper aims to increase this significantly in the next 12 months, helping consumers and enterprises get the most out of their smartphones.
Zapper is free and is compatible with Android and iOS operating systems.
