HiFX Gains a Competitive Edge with Pervasive Software for Foreign Exchange Transfers

Connectivity to SWIFT Using Pervasive Data Integrator Allows HiFX to Provide Faster International Payments with Enhanced Security

Pervasive Software® Inc. (NASDAQ: PVSW), a global leader in cloud-based and on-premises data innovation, today announced that HiFX PLC, one of the U.K.'s international payments specialists, has implemented Pervasive Data Integrator™.

Pervasive worked with HiFX to develop an integration solution for the company’s in-house developed systems that has enhanced its back-office business processes and the online international money transfer services provided to its clients. Pervasive’s reliable and rapid integration tools have allowed HiFX to routinely initiate payments and secure transfers from their bank through to SWIFT, the world’s largest payments/settlements network, for all domestic U.K. and international trades, enabling a faster payment process.

HiFX now uses Pervasive Data Integrator to generate the commonly used form of SWIFT payment messages – the SWIFT MT103. This is achieved by transforming the native XML format payment messages generated from the HiFX system platform onto IBM MQ secure message queues that are used for SWIFT connectivity. The SWIFT payments solution, developed similarly, integrates the notification of funds received by HiFX from clients into the HiFX core systems.

HiFX also used Pervasive Data Integrator as the Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) tool to migrate 60,000 client accounts from the legacy SQL Server to a new back-end Oracle database. This same integration capability now maintains ongoing synchronization of the HiFX client data into the company SalesLogix CRM system.
