Findings from the report by Mimecast showed that 53 per cent and 40 per cent of organisations within the sectors have been using the service.
Nearly three-quarters of companies currently using cloud-computing are planning to move more applications to the cloud, a new report has revealed.
Almost two-thirds said they had considered using the service while better integration and more mature solutions were called for by the remainder of those questioned in order to change their minds.
Peter Bauer, Mimecast chief executive officer, said: âThis research shows that once enterprises experience cloud-based applications, their fears about integration, reliability and costs are immediately alleviated.
âThe surveyâs results point to a bright future ahead for cloud computing as more and more companies look to the cloud to create an efficient and agile organisation.â
Further findings from the report revealed that cloud-computing adopters thought that email and CRM were the most valuable services to be transferred to the cloud.
Making savings around IT is the main reason cited by organisations for utilising the new technology solution.
