Wall Street Systems (Wallstreet), the global provider of treasury, trading and settlement solutions and services, has configured a new interface for mobile devices such as the BlackBerry that gives corporate treasurers powerful access to their treasury management system while on the move.
The new Treasury on the Move interface will be unveiled at the AFP Annual Conference in San Francisco October 4-7, 2009, and will enable corporate treasurers using Wallstreet Suite to make business critical decisions and transactions while they are working remotely. It is the most extensive mobile treasury access available.
Functionality available on the move will include payment initiation, authorization and release, verification of investments, short term borrowings, FX transactions, and intercompany loans. The new interactive interface will also enable corporate treasurers to be more flexible than before, and to respond to market turbulence more quickly than has previously been possible.
Enrico Camerinelli, Senior Analyst, Celent said: "The time has passed when corporate treasurers would work within the four walls of their office. Decisions are now taken on the road, and the benefits and flexibility of mobile technology allow it to be utilized as an excellent tool for mobile treasury services."
Working on mobile devices only a few years ago was difficult because devices had small, low-resolution screens, and high-speed data transfer was far less dependable than today. But this is now changing, even for powerful business applications such as treasury management systems.
Terry Beadle, Managing Director at Wall Street Systems said: "Our treasury solutions lead the market for functionality and stability, and we have now coupled this with agility and responsiveness. Our new Treasury on the Move interface will give corporate treasurers a level of flexibility not previously available, enabling them to make strategic decisions wherever and whenever they need."
