Northdoor Selected to Provide Software for New Lloyd's Insurance Syndicate

Northdoor, an independent IT consultancy and provider of full lifecycle solutions primarily to the financial services industry, has today announced that the newly launched W. R. Berkley Syndicate 1967, has selected Northdoor's N-DEX Suite of insurance underwriting and messaging solutions. The software is especially designed for the Lloyd's of London insurance market.

N-DEX Suite went live at W. R. Berkley Syndicate 1967 in good time for when the firm commenced underwriting on 1st June. The software will handle policy and claims administration, credit control and transaction processing. It will also monitor contract certainty and provide a view of risk performance.

N-DEX Suite enables W. R. Berkley Syndicate 1967 to comply with the regulatory information requirements of Lloyd's and the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and to comply with market messaging standards - including supporting the Electronic Claims File (ECF), electronic placing and endorsement requirements of the Market Reform Plan.

N-DEX Suite was recently re-developed by Northdoor to run under the Microsoft .NET Framework. This allows the application to now better accommodate the sophisticated business logic of the London Market and exchange data and inter-operate more easily and securely with other applications, document management and reporting systems. Users enjoy stunning visual presentation allowing rapid understanding of information.

N-DEX Suite runs under CITRIX which means authorised W. R. Berkley users can access the system from anywhere via a web-browser.
