Speakerbus Announces the Acquisition of PAETEC’s IP Based Trader Voice Service

New York, NY - 24 June 2009

Speakerbus, a global provider of high quality mission critical communications, announced today an agreement to acquire the Trader Voice Service business of PAETEC Communications, Inc. (“PAETEC”).

Speakerbus will market the new service under the Veclipse brand.

The agreement builds on the best core competencies of both companies, including Speakerbus’ specialization in the financial trading vertical, international direct presence and a portfolio of IP based trader voice solutions that connect directly to PAETEC’s MPLS based IP infrastructure. PAETEC will continue to provide the MPLS IP backbone for the customers utilizing the trader voice services through a wholesale agreement with Speakerbus.

The Veclipse network empowers customers to realize major benefits from the Veclipse capability including:

• Dynamic management of line presentation, forking and re-routing, enabling customers to react to business events across multiple locations.
• Delivery of diversity and fault tolerance to customer trading system demarcation points, enhancing the customer ability to remove any single point of failure in trader voice connectivity.
• Connectivity to all existing turret and PBX platforms via IP, TDM or analog interfaces ensuring compatibility with customer premises equipment and providing an IP migration strategy that does not require a change of supplier.
• Central directory system that provides real-time provisioning of new lines by providing a transparent network overview with integrated trouble tickets and billing

Andy Wodhams, Managing Director of Speakerbus Group Plc, said “We are very excited about providing our customers with a robust and scalable VoIP network. With proven quality, reliability and security, VoIP on a managed network delivers real cost savings, increased flexibility and better resource utilization.”
