New Report from Aite Group Looks at Trends in the Bank Teller Solutions Market and Profiles Leading Vendors

A new report from Aite Group, LLC looks at the major trends in the teller solution market today, as well as what solution providers are doing to meet the needs of branch banking institutions. It examines 15 of the leading teller solutions used by North American banking institutions, and includes profiles of the nine vendors offering solutions.

Teller technology has been an important area for bank technology spending in the past few years. However, because it is a replacement market, the teller technology market is one in which the incumbent vendor has an inherent edge when customers consider refreshing their solution. There are a number of options on the market, however, and vendors looking to increase market share can find ways to differentiate themselves from the pack. The three most important keys to retaining or winning a customer's business are providing an easy-to-use solution, enhancing the solution per customers' evolving needs, and providing a high level of customer service. "Vendors should not become distracted by non-critical issues, such as whether the solution blends thin- and thick-client offerings, " says Kate Monahan, analyst with Aite Group and author of this report. "Providing an easy-to-use solution, enhancing the solution per customer's evolving needs, and providing a high level of customer service are really the three key areas in which vendors have an opportunity to differentiate."
