Top 100 risk technology vendors are ranked by Chartis Research; ‘Category Winners’ are announced

Chartis Research, the leading analyst for the risk technology marketplace, has released its annual global rankings of the top 100 risk technology vendors. This ground breaking study selects and ranks the top risk technology firms on the basis of a comprehensive sweep of the marketplace and a detailed assessment methodology.

“For the third year in a row SunGard occupies the top stop in the RiskTech 100. Oracle is placed in second place which aggregate scores for Reveleus, Mantas, i-Flex and Oracle Financial.” Comments Chartis, “The new Chartis ranking methodology incorporating an “innovation” category which has caused significant movement in the top 20.”

RiskTech 100 firms with noticeable movement in the rankings include RiskMetrics, Fermat, FRS, Fiserv , Numerix, OpenPages and BWise.

As a new section to the report, Chartis has applied its detailed evaluation metrics to identify and announce winners in a number of key categories. “This year we have announced a number of horizontal, vertical and geographical category winners” comments Chartis, “the horizontal categories include credit risk, market risk, ALM, financial crime and operational risk/GRC. The verticals include banking, insurance, capital markets and corporates.”
