Trustwave Provides PCI DSS Compliance Validation to Merchants

Program Validates Compliance Through Web-based Management Solution TrustKeeper

Trustwave, the leading provider of on-demand data security and payment card industry compliance management solutions to businesses and organizations throughout the world, announced a program to help merchants using VeriFone payment systems facilitate compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
PCI DSS is the payment card industry data security requirement for entities that store, process or transmit cardholder information, and has been endorsed by all the major card brands – Visa Inc., MasterCard Worldwide, Discover Network, American Express and JCB. The PCI DSS is a framework for the secure handling of cardholder data.

Trustwave’s compliance validation program has been developed to help current VeriFone Point-of-Sale (POS) merchants validate compliance with the PCI DSS. This tailored approach provides an automated, Web-based validation process which will help merchants become compliant and maintain their compliance.

The required Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) has four variants to ensure merchants only answer questions relevant to their environment. Participating merchants will register with Trustwave’s on-demand compliance management solution, TrustKeeper®. Upon registration, TrustKeeper will quickly and accurately identify the merchant level and will facilitate completion of the appropriate Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ).

As a web-based, on-demand solution, TrustKeeper provides a secure portal through which merchants can schedule PCI DSS-mandated vulnerability scans and view concise reports that detail and prioritize vulnerabilities and offer remediation recommendations.
