SEEBURGER HELPS COMPANIES REDUCE INVOICE PROCESSING COSTS BY UP TO 90%

20 May 2008

SEEBURGER UK Ltd has announced the immediate availability of SEEBURGER 4invoice. A complete software solution that can reduce invoice processing costs by up to 90% by automating the processing of all business invoices in every format, from paper and fax through to PDF and EDI. SEEBURGER 4invoice is underpinned by the SEEBURGER Business Integration Server, a world class message orientated middleware (MOM) integration platform, which means it can be integrated with any ERP or back office application. This saves significant costs for companies by dramatically increasing the speed of processing invoices.

SEEBURGER’s 4invoice removes the complexity from invoice processing by enabling a single procedure for all formats of invoices and establishing a consistent workflow path that ensures fast entry, approval and payment. Both paper and electronic documents are channelled through the same approval workflows, negating the need for separate solutions.

The advanced integration capabilities of SEEBURGER 4invoice allow each invoice to be digitised and integrated with the core ERP or other back office systems. Cross referencing and matching the invoices with the corresponding master data during the pre-posting phase allows for automatic updates to and from the back office systems. This results in unrivalled levels of accuracy in terms of consistent character recognition and reduces operational costs by ensuring a minimal requirement for manual intervention.

By integrating seamlessly with the ERP system, 4invoice provides full visibility of the entire status of the workflow at any given moment. A major benefit of the system is its ability to handle rapid deployment, even through the most complex workflow scenarios.

4invoice has the flexibility to use either the extended SAP workflow (for SAP users) or WEBFlow (for non SAP users), as well as a combination of both. Once implemented, 4invoice is a multi-site and multi-region solution, with all users able to work via a portal link from any office location. With the unique 4invoice Automated Language Learning Program (ALLP) language barriers can be broken and business can be carried out regardless of which country the invoice is received from. Entire processes are tracked with the ability to roll back for auditing requests.

SEEBURGER 4invoice features the very latest in ‘Smart’ Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality. Using self-adapting Freeform Interpretation that will learn form reoccurring activities and incorporated Artificial Intelligence algorithms. This ensures that 4invoice is one of the industry’s most powerful and accurate OCR systems on the market today.

Archie Dhaliwal, Director Strategic Alliances at SEEBURGER, comments, “4invoice is a hugely powerful, yet simple to use, system that has the potential to allow organisations to make significant cost savings.“

Claas, a world-wide, leading manufacturer of farming equipment with headquarters in Germany has automated its inbox using SEEBURGER’s 4invoice solution; SAP invoiceCONSOLE and SEEBURGER’s extended SAP Workflow in just four months. Claas faces approximately 200,000 invoices each year and is already seeing a fast return on investment. The solution is integrated into Claas’ SAP system which means that users can process invoices while working in their familiar SAP environment.

Gerd Brinzing, Project Manager at Claas, explains, “4invoice has been profitable for us because it has helped us avoid losing potential cash discounts through prompt invoice payment. It has also generated noticeable quality improvements with invoice processing productivity being increased by 23% and substantially better transparency. We are delighted with the system.”

Jürgen Kronz, Director Paper-to-ERP (EMEA), concludes, “By unifying paper and electronic invoices into one powerful and fully integrated workflow solution, SEEBURGER’s 4invoice has already shown its ability to generate immediate and business-critical benefits through successful implementations at several large national and international organisations. It allows senior management to have full visibility and reporting capability of all current invoices, allowing much better management of the business’ cash flow.”
