PCI DSS is the payment card industry security requirement for entities that process, transmit and/or store cardholder data, and has been endorsed by all the major card brands – Visa International, MasterCard Worldwide, Discover Network, American Express and JCB. Merchant compliance requirements are segmented into four levels based on the number of transactions a merchant processes annually.
With AmbironTrustWave, RSPA members will have access to real-time data security tools that protect cardholder data as it is processed and/or transmitted. The main components of the program are:
TrustKeeper®: A web-based comprehensive compliance management solution that includes the PCI DSS self-assessment questionnaire, vulnerability scanning and recommended remediation actions.
SSL Certificates: Including: Next generation Extended Validation SSL certificates, Premium SSL certificates, Wildcard SSL certificates and S/MIME E-Mail Digital IDs.
Unified Threat Management (UTM) Technology: A single appliance that assists small and medium sized merchants to achieve and maintain PCI compliance, including Firewall, VPN, IPS and Anti-Virus.
“RSPA has taken an industry-leading stance on educating and enabling their members, who in turn, help their merchant clients implement sound data security practices to achieve PCI DSS compliance and protect their business. Through this partnership, we hope to build awareness for cardholder security among technology providers adding another layer of protection for credit card data processed by retailers,” says Robert J. McCullen, chairman and CEO, AmbironTrustWave.
“Given the current PCI security environment and RSPA’s PCI DSS education initiative, the next step is to provide our membership with tools for PCI DSS security compliance. The partnership between RSPA and AmbironTrustWave, along with providing their TrustKeeper to our members, will do just that,” says Joseph Finizio, RSPA Executive Director.
